Drain Tech – Service Division

Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Drain Technician to join our service team. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in solving drain and sewer challenges, enjoys helping customers restore peace of mind, and is committed to ensuring the safe, reliable flow of water in every home. You’ll work directly with homeowners to resolve clogs, maintain drain systems, and support larger plumbing projects while upholding Viking Plumbing’s promise: You Deserve Good Water.
Responsibilities
• Successfully unclog drains including sinks, tubs, and showers.
• Perform sewer cleaning and water jetting, with camera inspections when needed.
• Reset toilets, remove and reinstall P-traps, and complete sewer stack clean-out installs.
• Assist lead plumbers with underground projects and larger installations.
• Capture before-and-after photos on service calls (clean-outs, toilet resets, or other installs) to ensure clarity for customers and warranty tracking.
• Complete accurate invoice summaries for all service calls so the office team can answer customer questions confidently.
• Educate homeowners on how their drain and sewer systems function and recommend proactive maintenance solutions.
• Ensure all liability waivers and company procedures are followed to protect both the customer and Viking Plumbing.
Qualifications
• 2+ years of drain cleaning or plumbing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of drain and sewer systems, water flow, and safe work practices.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Reliability, integrity, and a team-first mindset.
• Willingness to perform related plumbing tasks outside of drain work when needed.

Journeyman Plumber – Service Division

We are seeking a skilled and service-oriented Journeyman Plumber who shares our passion for ensuring good water in every home. The right candidate is not only a technical expert but also someone who takes pride in seeing the “big picture” of each plumbing system. Responsibilities
• Diagnose, repair, and install plumbing systems with a whole-home, holistic perspective.
• Conduct thorough plumbing system inspections to identify issues before they become costly problems.
• Perform water testing and recommend solutions that improve water quality.
• Install and maintain water heaters, water softeners, filtration systems, piping, faucets, and fixtures.
• Educate customers on how their complete plumbing system works and provide solutions to optimize performance.

Qualifications
• Journeyman Plumber license (Wisconsin).
• 3+ years of residential plumbing experience, preferably in a service role.
• Strong technical knowledge of plumbing systems, water quality, and code compliance.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and approach plumbing as a whole system.
• Dedication to teamwork, integrity, and continuous improvement.
